ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Kristin MacLeod and I am the school social worker at Westbrook Middle School. I have been a part of this amazing Student Services team serving many WMS students since 2011. As a school social worker, I have many unique opportunities to work with children, their families, and community organizations. I am able to see students in a variety of settings, such as individual sessions, group sessions, lunch groups and more! My goal in providing services, is to help your child grow as they navigate academic, behavioral, emotional, familial and social challenges. Although I primarily serve Special Education students, I am also happy to see any student in our school who may be in need of a shoulder, an ear or a friendly smile. When I was in middle school, I just “knew” that I wanted to have a career where I could help people. Whether I was helping friends solve problems or negotiate an argument with someone, I seemed to be drawn to helping them! This desire to help others persisted and in college, I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and then later, attended graduate school where I earned by Master's Degree in Social Work. Please feel free to reach out to me any time at 854-0830 or email [email protected]. I am more than happy to help in any way I can! |
